Yesterday, it was announced that KisuMai will be releasing a new album on 7/1, but since the details weren't released until today, I waited a bit to make this post. The album title's is Kis-My-World!

Details below cutCollapse )

I forgot to add this.

This has nothing to do with the album, but it was announced on J-Net that Kitayama will be a proper regular on the variety show, Sekai no Nihonjin Tsuma wa Mita! starting June. He has already been on the show many times, but now he will be on it every week!

This is the first time a KisuMai member has a solo regular appearance on a variety show! (Senga's regular appearance in Toukai Chihou no Koto Narubeku Chanto Shirabemasu! back in 2012 is different, as that's not a variety show.)

It has been announced today that Tamamori will be playing lead in the drama "Seishun Tantei Haruya (tentative title)", scheduled to be aired in the fall season (October start). It is slotted for Thursdays, starting at 23:59, on NTV.

Joining Tamamori is Shinkawa Yua, who will play the heroine (you may recognize her for playing Maiko in the episode of KisuBusa where they had to steal the bride away), and Takada Sho, who will play Tamamori's classmate/friend.

Tamamori will be playing a university student, Asagi Haruya, who somehow accepts the task of solving a case, but only to get involved in more problems as he goes on. His character is described to having a keen/sharp mind and with more guts/courage than an average person.

This will be the first Tamamori plays lead in an NTV drama as well as acting in a mystery drama.

The drama is based on the novel "End Credit ni Saiteki na Natsu" by Fukuda Eiichi, but it's uncertain how much it follows the novel, other than the whole university student gets asked to solve a case and in turn, gets involved in more cases plot. In the novel, Tamamori's character is supposed to be a poor university student, so money is related to his motivation. Not sure if this trait will be included in the drama.

Some cases in the novel may feel heavy, but there are no murders, and the atmosphere is rather light too. Let's see how things will turn out in the drama. Tamamori has said there will be action scenes as well.

Filming has already started, possibly due to Tamamori's (speculated) busy schedule in autumn.

The release date of his movie, Raintree no Kuni, has also been announced to be November 21st.

It has been announced that Taisuke will be taking the lead role for an upcoming stage play, TAKE FIVE. This stage play is related to the TBS drama "TAKE FIVE ~Ore-tachi wa Ai wo Nusumeru ka~" which was aired in 2013, lead by Karasawa Toshiaki and other cast members included Matsuzaka Toori and SMAP's Inagaki Gorou.

The stage play will be running from May 13th to May 21st in Tokyo's Akasaka ACT Theatre and May 28th to May 31st in Osaka's Umeda Geijutsu Gekijou.

Taisuke will be playing the descendent of Homura Masayoshi, a thief, and played by Karasawa in the drama. The story is about Homura Mamoru, played by Taisuke, who timeslips from 2065, and tries to stop Masayoshi from being a thief.

It seems like they'll be taking footage from the drama and link it with the play through LED screens.

Taisuke will be working with the ex-takarazuka star, now actress, Ranju Tomu for the first time. Other members of the play's cast include Yamamoto Yuusuke, Yoshizawa Hisashi, Suruga Tarou, Ugashi Takashi, and Asakura Aki.

Rehearsals for the play have already started and Taisuke has commented, saying, "I'm getting stimulated every day, and the team is coming together as one. (The play) should be quite impressive/intense. I'm really looking forward to it. Please wait and look forward to 'TAKE FIVE'."

I didn't get a chance to post about this yesterday, but I'm sure many people has heard by now.

OL Club will be coming to an end this Tuesday, and the following week, on March 31st, a new KisuMai show will take its place.

The title is "KisuMai GAME". In the show, KisuMai (and guests) will play classic games like tag, hide and seek, kick the can, etc, but version up with current technology and systems.

In the first episode, they will be playing Daruma-san ga Koronda, which you may know as Red Light, Green Light, Statues, etc, with the newest security system, which can detect very small movements.

Sorry for another post, but this is apparently a day of announcements.

It's been announced through FC email that Kitayama will be appearing in Takizawa Kabuki 10th Anniversary. The stage show will start from April 8th and run until May 17th. There will be a total of 52 shows. The full schedule will probably be updated on Johnnys Net after they make an announcement towards the general public. Right now, it's still FC-only information.

Other members appearing include Snow Man, They Budou, "MAD", MADE, Gotou Hiromi, Ishigaki Daisuke, and Yabu Kouta.

There are no details yet as to what changes may or may not be made to the stage show compared to previous years and who will play what roles.

There is unofficial information that there will be a press conference for Kabuki tomorrow, so we may or may not get more information then.

Edit: As suspected, a press conference was held today, and it was announced that Takizawa Kabuki will have its first overseas shows in Singapore, from August 18th to 23rd. It is not yet confirmed however, whether these overseas shows will have the same cast as the shows in Japan. Tackey aside, of course. It's his show after all.
