My previous post got me thinking we probably need an entry properly explaining the tags. They are essential in keeping this community in order after all. So without any further ado, here they are:
! archives – As the tag suggests, this is the place for archives. Some of them are locked so make sure you join the community. The exclamation mark indicates that only moderators may use this tag.
! masterpost: concert goods/tickets – Anything dealing with tickets and goods for concerts and stage shows goes into the masterposts. If a masterpost has been made, no entries regarding tickets and goods for an event are allowed outside it. This tag may only be used by moderators.
! mod post – Under this tag you will find messages and announcements from the moderators. It’s very important that you read these. Only moderators may use this tag.
advertisement – Are you selling some of your old goods? Then this is the tag for you. It can also be used for advertising about (relevant) communities and memes.
con/stage report – Been to a concert or stage play and want to tell the rest of the community what happened? Use this tag when telling us about it.
discussion – Use this tag if you’d like to have a discussion about something. Please don’t abuse it though. In theory anything could be up for discussion but a simple necklace might not be big enough to talk about. Drastic new haircuts are on the other hand. Serious discussions are of course accepted, but make sure you read the rules about behaviour first.

downloads: drama/movie – Films and full drama episodes ripped from either the television or DVD disc. Remember to lock your entries!
downloads: fancam/fanrecording – Video and/or audio recordings from concerts and stage shows. Remember to lock your entries!

fanart – This tag will soon be removed. Please go to kismyshowtime for fanart.
fanfiction – This tag will soon be removed. Please go to kismyshowtime.
fanvideo – All fanvideos goes under here, whether they are downloadable or on streaming. Either way, remember to lock your entries!
graphics – This tag will soon be removed. But for now, please check the already existing ones. More information will be presented later.
lyrics: kanji – Use this tag when posting lyrics in Japanese. Ex. キミの笑顔でこれだけの人が笑っているのに、一人じゃないと気づいて欲しいよ!
lyrics: romaji – Use this tag when posting lyrics in transliterated Japanese. Ex. Kimi no egao de koredake no hito ga waratte iru no ni, hitori janai to kizuite hoshii yo!
lyrics: translation – Use this tag when posting lyrics translated into any language.
misc – If what you’re posting doesn’t seem to fit any of the other tags, use this one.
news/info – Official news and information goes under here. Remember to state your sources properly and make sure they are legit!
online video – Any streaming videos goes under here, whether it’s drama episodes or fanvids. Taking a streaming video without asking the uploader for permission is against the rules. In order not to attract attention to ourselves I kindly ask you to refrain from commenting in English (or any other language that’s not Japanese) on videos with Japanese uploaders. Remember to lock your entries!
photos: goods/magazines etc – This tag is for preview pictures of goods, magazines, shop photos, paparazzi photos, newspapers etc. Anything that can be bought, basically.
photos: other – This tag is for pictures of venues, billboards, promo posters, train ads, fliers, JFC messages. Not things that you would buy, in other words.
request/question – Got a request or question? Use this tag when posting at the community. But before that, make sure you’ve properly checked all the relevant tags before asking.
rumors – Most of the time this is a nasty little bugger. If you’ve found/heard about a rumour and wants to know more about it, use this tag when posting. Remember to read the rules about behaviour first!
scanlation – A scanlation is a scan where the text has been replaced with a translation.
scans: magazine – Any magazine scans goes under here. Remember to lock your entries!
scans: other – Scans of pamphlets, fliers, clearfiles, calendars, uchiwas and things like that goes under here. Remember to lock your entries! Doujinshi belongs at kismyshowtime.
scans: photos – Scans of all types of photos (shop, venue, live, studio, paparazzi) belong under this tag. Remember to lock your entries!
screencaps – These are “photos” taken with your computer.
subbed – All subbed videos (including soft subs) goes under here no matter what language.
translations – Translations of everything that’s not lyrics falls under this tag. Remember to have a beta reader check your translation before posting. Spreading false/inaccurate information is against the rules as it might set off rumours.
[copy-paste from a previous entry] Programs like Google translate etc cannot do the main job when translating something. Usually the other language turns out completely bonkers.
If you've got a translation with multiple errors which people are pointing out about, you have to edit your text. Otherwise your entry at the community will be deleted if you don't fix it within a couple of days. If there's a lot of parts you're not sure on how to translate, please get a beta reader to help you, whether it's your Japanese or English you're unsure of. Awkward wording happens to everybody, including native speakers. I'm not a native speaker of English so I mess up as well. I hope no one will feel insulted by this. But it's in the best interest for the community, and the Kisumai fandom, really. [End of copy-paste]
So that's that. If you've got any questions feel free to ask them here. :) Also this entry will be updated whenever new tags pop up. And I'll be putting it in the sidebar so it'll be easy to find.
